2. Phillies - Ray Lankford (1st surprise. Not Griffey Jr.?)
3. Royals - Roberto Alomar (still no Griffey Jr.?)
4. Yankees - Ken Griffey Jr. (a Yankee? Yuck.)
5. Reds - Moises Alou (holding our breath... one spot left...)
6. Orioles - John Olerud (DAMN IT!)
Oh well.
So, now who are WE going to take? The mock draft has Fryman dropping all the one to the end and has Delino DeShields the best pick for us. Admittedly, we need middle infield.
My scouting Director recommends Ramon Martinez instead. (Ramon Martinez happens to be the only Major Leaguer born the same day that I was.) Immediate rotation anchor according to our scouts.

5. Paul Abbot - RP projects as solid bullpen contributor
6. Clint Zavaras - RP
Zavala's signed immediately. We are negotiating with the rest but feel good about all of them.
