I play PT daily, as well as franchise mode (although less often). Any benefits for the people that continue to purchase the desktop versions each year? PT has been a game changer for OOTP and the desktop game is just outstanding, so I'm keenly interested in seeing ongoing development is funded with funds not being lost to 1000's of new people that download OOTP go mobile for free and never contribute to the development costs. Thanks for OOTP and the hours of entertainment it has provided.

By making it free, we gain a whole new set of customers who could be interested in upgrading to the desktop version, which still has many more features than Go has. Plus, we get the game to many more potential PT players that way, obviously.
Premium gaming apps on the app stores are basically non-existing nowadays, they can only exist if they already had a huge following prior to the industry shifting towards FTP, like Football Manager from Sega.
