11 April 2299 - Mole Rats 1B Needs Mental Rest
Forest Grove Mole Rats (Roxbury) 1B Mike Elanora will spend a couple days under doctor supervision after he had an apparent mental breakdown. Or maybe he suffered a brain injury.
Following the Mole Rats' practice yesterday in preparation for their season opener against the Somerville Place Sentry Bots, Elanora went down to his knees for a few minutes. When he looked up, he was confused and started calling his teammates his "mates."
Minutes later, Elanora bounced up and started hopping, saying, "I'm a kangaroo, mates." A kangaroo is a pre-War animal (as far as we know, but this is after the fallout, so they may still exist in beast-mode form) from a country called Australia. After several minutes of bouncing around and stuffing baseballs into his shirt, which he called his "pouch," Elanora then went back down to a knee.
A team trainer escorted Elanora back to the clubhouse, and the Forest Grove team said that they would let him rest in case more psychotic episodes were to occur.
