Ed. Maybe he mellowed as he got older, but the young Frank Moran could be a nasty piece of work. He also lost to some average guys like Jim Savage, Al Kubiak, Tom Kennedy, Tony Ross, etc. Not sure he deserved to fight for the title once, never mind twice. I have him rated a '7' and he's 18-2-0 (15) against average comp. He's lost to Al Kubiak and George McRay (boxer with moderate power rated '6' over all who's lost four of his last five.)
