29 April 2299 - Lexington-The Slog Make Deal

The Lexington Synths traded 21-year-old minor league reliever Dan Redplate and 22-year-old minor league left fielder Jason Templeman to the The Slog Ghouls, getting 29-year-old second baseman Pat Cambridge in return.

29 April 2299 - Mustang Sharp in 8-0 Shutout

In an outstanding mound performance, Vault 81 Dwellers starter Josh Mustang fired a complete-game shutout against the Diamond City Swatters at CURIE Inc. Field today.

Mustang was the key to the Dwellers's 8-0 win. The 33-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 8 hits and 2 walks he allowed. In 5 starts this season Mustang has chalked up a 3-2 record and a 3.96 ERA.

"8 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."

Kevin Morrison and Deer Quickwalker each homered for the Dwellers. Chris Van Benschoten led the team in hits with three, including a double. Tyler Ross was 3 for 4 for Diamond City with a double and triple.

29 April 2299 - Deathclaws Beat Gunners in 21-inning Affair

A 5-RBI performance from center fielder Jukebox Luttrell, who is tied for 4th in the SCA in home runs with 6, led the University Point Deathclaws to a win over the Quincy Gunners, 12-11, in 21 innings. The game took 7 hours and 58 minutes to complete and the teams used a total of 44 of the possible 50 eligible players in the game.

Luttrell had a game-changing triple in the top of the 21st. On a 2-2 changeup from Ray Human, he banged a run-scoring triple to right-center, giving the Deathclaws a 12-11 lead. It was the 3rd triple of the year for Luttrell.

"It feels good to get this one," Luttrell told the University Point Daily News.

29 April 2299 - Assaultrons Edge Past Four Leafs, 2-1

In a low-scoring game between the Easy Town Assaultrons and the Finch Farm Four Leafs, pitcher Smoker Caliman was masterful on the mound. The Easy Town right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. The win was credited to Ray Housecat in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Blaine Phrasemaker took the loss. The win brings the Assaultrons to 5-14, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.

Jarrett Metalbox was the walk-off hero for Easy Town. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Assaultrons left fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Caliman said after the game.

29 April 2299 - Witch Hats Bridle Party Boys, 2-1

The Salem Witch Hats reigned over the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys in damp conditions.

Roy Syme never let the Party Boys get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Witch Hats to a win, 2-1. Dan Beantown closed the game out for Salem, earning his 2nd save.

Chris Treestump, the slugging right fielder, had a direct impact on the outcome. Treestump contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Salem up, 2-0.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Syme.

Julian Shed (1-3) suffered the loss, allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 6.0 innings.

29 April 2299 - Radstags Deal Silver Shroud 5-4 Loss

Jason Robinson left his imprint on the 5-4 Concord win against the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud in 10 innings. Robinson, who is tied for 9th in the NCA in bases on balls with 10, went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Bell Franklin in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Joe Verti took the loss. Concord is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 5th in 19 games.

The game came to a sudden end. In the bottom of the tenth, with one out, Robinson drew a walk from reliever Joe Verti (1-1), driving in 1 run. It gave Concord the 5-4 walk-off win.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Robinson.

The Stags were down to their final out in the bottom of the 9th with Curtis Thriceshot on the mound for the Shroud. However, 2B Josh McIntyre took a 3-1 pitch over the right field wall to tie the game and contribute to Thriceshot's first run allowed on the season and first blown save.

29 April 2299 - Ghouls Top County Crossing, 8-7, in 14

The The Slog Ghouls beat the County Crossing Bloodbugs, 8-7, at Tarberry Field Forever. The Slog left fielder Kyle Whale had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 5 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. David Tower notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. The loss has the Bloodbugs at 6-13.

The Ghouls procured the win, in large part because of shortstop Lernz Tentsleep. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"We found a way to get it done," Whale said.
