7 May 2299 - Razor-Sharp Cartrette Blanks Lexington
The Lexington Synths manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud. The Synths were overpowered by Fort Hagen starter Mike Cartrette, who hurled his club to victory, 1-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," Sprole Races said.
Over 9 innings, Cartrette blanked Lexington on 2 hits with 1 walk and 12 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Cartrette said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
In 7 starts this season, Cartrette has picked up 5 wins while suffering 1 loss. He has pitched 52 innings, allowed 26 hits, struck out 64 and posted a 1.56 ERA.

7 May 2299 - Ninjas Prevail, 4-3, Over Diamond City

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Wallace. "Successful pitchers do it."
