I try very hard to get images of players as close to their playing days as possible. Halbriter, who pitched briefly for Philadelphia in 1882, played semi-pro ball for Terre Haute in 1883 and for their professional team in 1884. I suspect he also played for their semi-pro team that same year and is pictured in the Terre Haute Blues team photo. Anyone else see facial similarities between the player on the left, circa 1884, and Halbriter's obituary photo, circa 1936?
