My question is -is there and where is there a setting for how AI performs when I click to sim half an inning?

My problem is when I click half an inning to sim it will not replace my pitcher under any circumstances. Every once in a while that half inning a single pitcher gives up massive number of runs, like in the teens sometimes.

Unrealistic.

when I sim to an inning (more than half an inning) it seems to let pitching changes happen in the AI logic.

Please help, my cycle I like to play games at for my team is to sim to the 6th, then sim smaller periods of time through the end of game depending on the circumstances. Half innings seem to be an achilles though.
