That’s the way I interpret the component ratings. If you can’t do something at all you get a zero rating; non-catchers have zero ratings at catcher skills. If you can do something a
little, but far below average, you get a very low rating; perhaps 20-30 on a 20-80 scale, 1-4 on a 1-20 scale, 1 on a 1-5 scale. If you’re far below average at turning a double play, you shouldn’t be playing second base, but if your manager insists on putting you there, your double play statistics should be noticeably bad.
