17 May 2299 - Season Ends for Brown: The season will end prematurely for Smelly Bobby Brown, the Dark first baseman. He suffered shoulder inflammation on 05/13/2299, an injury that is serious enough to knock him out of action for the rest of the year. Brown was not available for comment.
Brown has collected 3 hits for the Bloodworms this year, 0 of them home runs. He has also netted 1 RBIs and scored 1 run while batting .150.
22 May 2299 - Eric Streetwalker Captures NWL Award
21-year-old Eric Streetwalker made a few Quantum headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Nuka World League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 8 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .348 average. Streetwalker collected 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 2 runs.
So far this season Streetwalker has put up a .274 batting average with 20 hits, 4 home runs and 10 RBIs.
