Walkers news: June 29 -- Des Moines 5, St. Louis 1

Record: 49-29, 2nd, 1 GB Des Moines
Des Moines rocked St. Louis starting pitcher Jesse McNaboe for four runs in the bottom of the first inning, and the Harvesters rode that to a 5-1 win at Green Canyon Park.
McNaboe was almost his own worst enemy walking two batters in a stretch which saw the Harvesters' first four batters of the game reach base.
One of those free passes, to Kyle Tucker, came with the bases loaded to drive in a run.
Glenn Santiago contributed the inning's big hit with a two-out, two-run single.
An RBI double from the River Walkers' Daniel Becerra off Des Moines starting pitcher Juan Amezquita., scoring McNaboe who had doubled just in front of him, made it 5-1.
The Harvesters got that run back in the bottom of the third.
Jared Poland led off with a single off McNaboe.
An error by second baseman Daniel Becerra put two runners aboard.
Amezquita scored Poland with a two-out double.
Amezquita pitched well, allowing one run on three hits over 4.2 innings, but not long enough to earn the win.
That went to Joseph King (4-1), who finished the fifth and also worked a silent sixth.
Sam Stoutenborough worked two scoreless innings.
Mike Goodkin got two outs in the ninth before having to leave with an undislosed injury.
Jonathan Loasiga gave up a couple of hits before the game ended, but no runs.
