28 May 2299 - Rookie Gep Blasts Diamond City to Victory

Rookie first baseman Oren Gep put on a show for the home crowd as the Diamond City Swatters marched off with the 10-7 win over FHE at The Great Green Jewel. Gep was 3 for 4 with two home runs, two runs, and six RBI to lead his team to victory.

Noah Arch was at the head of a FHE Yao Guai hit parade today at The Great Green Jewel. The 25-year-old went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits.

"We didn't have it today," griped Yao Guai skipper David Meatcook following the game. "Noah did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching."

Arch did more than fine, dominating the Swatters at the plate during his record-making 5-for-5 performance.

"Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging center fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."

Arch singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

This year Arch has collected a .390 batting average to date with 71 hits in 182 at-bats, 32 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 37 times. He has played in 40 games.

28 May 2299 - Deathclaws Listless in 11-0 Loss to Hancocks

Bruce Iddings held the University Point Deathclaws to 3 hits and fashioned a fine 11-0 shutout at Gwinnett Brewery Park today.

Speaking after the game, Goodneighbor Hancocks manager Jeremy Whiteplate said "Iddings had everything going for him today."

He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful."

Iddings rung up 9 strikeouts and surrendered 5 walks in the game.

"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," University Point manager Woody Lumpkin told reporters.

For this year Iddings has chalked up 6 wins and 4 losses in 10 starts with 74 strikeouts in 74.1 innings and a 3.63 ERA.

Offensively, Bryan Assman drove the Hancock's barrage of hits and runs. The first baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run, four runs, and three RBI. He was also hit by a pitch and stole a base.

28 May 2299 - T-51s Hurler Kawolski Tosses Masterpiece

In a very impressive mound performance, Sheng Kawolski stopped the Vault 81 Dwellers cold. The 26-year-old T-51s hurler blanked them on 5 hits to post a 6-0 triumph.

In 10 starts this season Kawolski has gathered 6 wins while suffering 2 losses. He has pitched 70.1 innings, allowed 58 hits, struck out 79 and has a 3.45 ERA.

Jonathan Abern was 2 for 4 with a triple, a run, and three RBI.

28 May 2299 - McDuff Throws 6-0 Shutout

Manny McDuff came out firing strikes and when the game ended, the Quincy Gunners hurler had struck out 6, leading Quincy past the Warwick Mirelurks, 6-0. McDuff allowed just 7 hits in the ballgame.

"I'm glad that one is in the rearview mirror," said Warwick manager Old Man Langford.

In 10 starts with 11 games pitched this year, McDuff has fashioned a 10-1 record and a 2.23 ERA. He has a three wins lead on the next best pitchers in the CBO, Quincy Eloquent and Matt Pageturner.

28 May 2299 - Adamantium Walk It Off for 24th Win of Season, Sweep Shroud

Fort Hagen first baseman Jim Tiller was sensational. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Abernathy beat the Silver Shroud, 9-8. The win puts Abernathy at 24-16 this season.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Abernathy catcher Dan Neo, facing Joe Verti, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Adamantium the 9-8 win.

Neo told a Abernathy Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

28 May 2299 - Ghouls Drop 9-4 Decision, Get Swept by 1st Place Boys

Nordhagen Beach Party Boys starter Aaron Demps was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the The Slog Ghouls, 9-4. The Party Boys have an impressive 28-12 record after sweeping the Ghouls. They now have a five-game lead.

In the bottom of the second, Michael Fogcrawler hit a 3-run home run. The 9th home run of the season for the Nordhagen Beach left fielder put the Party Boys on top, 4-1.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Fogcrawler told the Nordhagen Beach News.
