30 May 2299 - Marble Sharp in 6-0 Shutout

Tristan Marble of the Lexington Synths spun his magic on the County Crossing Bloodbugs today. He blanked them 6-0 on 3 hits, registering 7 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Marble said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Lexington skipper Sprole Races said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."

"Tristan pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.

In 11 starts this season Marble has rung up a 3-4 record and a 3.79 ERA.

30 May 2299 - Koester Socks 2 Home Runs in 6-3 Concord Win

The Concord Radstags downed the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys, 6-3. The hitting star was shortstop Sean Koester. Koester was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Radstags. Concord goes to 17-24, Nordhagen Beach to 28-13.

Koester contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Concord in the top of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Koester took a slider from Tommy Beach and stroked the home run to right. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Radstags to leap in front, 3-1.

Koester called the triumph "a good team win."

Tommy Beach (5-5) suffered the loss despite giving up only one earned run. The problem was Beach gave up a total of four runs thanks to errors by Dustin Mart and Mike Swift.

30 May 2299 - Brahmin Leads Witch Hats to Win

The performance of Ian Brahmin proved critical in helping Salem beat Starlight, 5-2. The Witch Hats third baseman went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Dan Beantown, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save. Salem is third in the North Charles Association Brotherhood League with a record of 18-23.

Brahmin had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from City Moore, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Witch Hats a 5-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Brahmin.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Brahmin. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

30 May 2299 - Assaultrons Collect 4-3 Win Over Silver Shroud in 12

Easy Town Assaultrons starter Smoker Caliman was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud, 4-3. Fort Hagen has now lost 5 straight.

The Assaultrons relied on right fielder Dan Squirrel for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 12th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

Caliman called the extra-inning win a "confidence builder."

30 May 2299 - Swatters Top Mirelurks, 4-0, Behind Fusion
