12 June 2299 - CA's #1 Player, Bleeder of Greentop Nursery
At the age of 30, Melvin Bleeder might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Greentop Nursery catcher put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .556 batting average. For his efforts Bleeder collected the Commonwealth Association Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 5 hits in 9 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs last week in 3 games.
This year Bleeder has collected a .314 batting average to date with 27 hits in 86 at-bats, 28 RBIs, 7 home runs and scored 22 times. He has played in 27 games.

The Player of the Week has been chosen by the Massachusetts Association. The award went to Dan "Rock" Hard, first baseman of the Trinity Plaza Snipers.
In a sensational hitting performance, he wrecked league pitchers with a .615 average to win the honor. Hard went 8-for-13 for the week, totaled 3 home runs and 5 RBIs and scored 4 times.
Hitting .312 to date, Hard has 9 home runs and 29 RBIs. He has played in 31 games.

After getting swept at the hands of Breakheart Banks Behemoths, the Mystic Pines Raybathers drop two slots in the Power Rankings. Eastlake is now tied for the best record in the BMU with its sweep of the Charles View Cannibals. With its eight-game winning streak, the Raybathers' Cambridge League rival, the C.I.T. Refractors, are now in the #2 spot, though they still trail in the division by two games. The Refractors also hold the BMU's third-best record, a game ahead of the Behemoths and Trinity Plaza Snipers of the Downtown Boston League.
