WML: The Ocean Shores Tsunami battled a rough & ready Oak Harbor Fighters club in a 7-game, Cosmic Crisp classic and, ultimately, won their 3rd championship in Franchise History and first since 1966.
1978 Playoffs:
Cosmic Crisp Series: Ocean Shores Tsunami dispatch Oak Harbor Fighters, 4-3.
NLCS: Ocean Shores Tsunami defeat Puyallup Cowboys, 4-2.

NL Aydan Adams Award (MVP): 1B Terrell Davis (27, Port Townsend Whales, 131st pick out of Blue Mountain Community College in 1971) - Dennis hit for a .400 average while collecting 265 hits, 62 doubles, 5 triples, 15 home runs, 149 RBIs and scoring 99 times.
CL Aydan Adams Award (MVP): RF Eli Franklin (26, Ellensburg Bulls, 3rd OVR pick out of Grays Harbor College in 1973) - The 26-year-old veteran compiled a .360 average and .448 on-base percentage by putting together 211 hits, 22 doubles, 11 triples, 14 home runs, and 93 walks. He also scored 107 times and drove in 97 runs. This is his 3rd win in a row.
NL Mason Donnelly Award (Top Pitcher): SP Jimmy Castillo (27, Auburn Tiger Kings, 1st overall pick out of Idaho State in 1971) - Castillo compiled a 20-9 record in 36 starts, tallied 254 strikeouts in 298 innings, and recorded a 2.42 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .218 batting average against him.
CL Mason Donnelly Award (Top Pitcher): SP Kyle Harlow (25, Bothell Brainiacs, 110th overall pick out of Washington State University in 1972) - Harlow compiled a 24-7 record in 36 starts, tallied 232 strikeouts in 288 innings, and recorded a 2.78 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .228 batting average against him.
