19 June 2299 - Taffington Boathouse Right Fielder Picked CA Player of the Week
So far in his young career, Curtis Yellallot has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Commonwealth Association in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 19-year-old Taffington Boathouse Spy Hunters right fielder hit at a torrid .417 clip as he collected 5 hits in 12 at-bats, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
For the year Yellallot is batting .255 with 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
19 June 2299 - Barrage of Hits Gets Rifleman MA Award
21-year-old Kern Rifleman made a few Charles View headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Massachusetts Association officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 6 hits in 12 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Rifleman collected 3 home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
Rifleman is hitting .289 this season with 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 37 hits in 128 at-bats.

The Breakheart Banks Behemoths are riding a seven-game win streak to move them into the top spot in teh BMU in this week's power rankings. Right behind them are the C.I.T. Ruins Refractors. Neither of those teams has a better record in the BMU than #3 Mystic Pines. The Raybathers have been cold of late, going 5-5 in their last 10 after only losing four in their first 24. Yet they still hold the #1 record in the Commonwealth Association and the BMU.
The Massachusetts Association is led by the Eastlake Aquaboys, but their three-game losing streak has dropped them to #6. Current co-leader in the Downtown Boston League, Haymarket Mall, is riding a five-game winning streak to move up to #4. Trinity Plaza was in first, but they are now tied with the Commandos, keeping them at #5.
