The Nuka Tour
Your introduction to Nuka-World and Bradberton
by Evan Guy
19 June 2299 - Part 2: Nuka-Cola Bottling Plant and the World of Refreshment
Team name: Quantum Nukalurks

Stadium: World of Refreshment Field
Team President: Lizzie Wyath
According to a terminal, "Lizzie Wyath [was], according to Mags Black, a co-conspirator of the Operators raider gang based out of Nuka-World's old theater, The Parlor. A young, science-minded woman with a talent for chemistry, Lizzie shows a particular fascination for mind-altering chemicals. Through constant experiments, most of them of dubious moral standing, she has made some impressive breakthroughs in her quest for making others susceptible to suggestions."
Upon Operation Open Season, Lizzie was one of the few of the raiders group who fully cooperated, like many of the Operators leaders did. Due to her talents with chemistry, John-Caleb Bradberton appointed her as the person to run the Nuka-Cola Bottling Plant, as well as being the person to oversee the World of Refreshment and the Quantum Nukalurks baseball team.
Team Nickname: Nukalurks
Most adult mirelurk variants have shells and pincers resembling those of horseshoe crabs, while their offspring resemble mole crabs. The queen, on the other hand, has a shell that resembles that of a giant isopod or spider crab. The hunter variant appears to be a lobster.[11] Finally, the mirelurk king is unique in that it bears no resemblance to any sort of crustacean, and may instead be a heavily mutated frog or fish.
All mirelurks (excluding mirelurk kings and softshell mirelurks) are protected by a thick shell that is difficult to penetrate, even with powerful ballistic weapons. The face is unarmored but a small target, and when charging a mirelurk will often lower its head to protect this area. However, the face will inevitably be exposed once the creature commences close combat. Extremities are also more vulnerable than the rest of the body, though not as much as the face.
Nukalurks mutated from regular mirelurks living in the river of Nuka-Cola Quantum that is part of the World of Refreshment attraction.

Players to Watch
1B Myturtle Hrdlicka (.305/9/27)
Drafted in the 2nd round of the 2299 NWL Inaugural Draft, Hrdlicka has shown himself to be a more capable batter than most of the league. He is best known for his sharp sense of the strike zone, allowing him to take walks and avoid strikeouts when he can make contact on swings. He has a reputation of never taking the game seriously, which may be off-putting to CBO managers looking to win championships. He could be talented enough to eventually make the leap, though.
RF Eric Streetwalker (.295/10/27)
Streetwalker is another former CBO draft pick in the NWL. Drafted in the 2296 CBO Inaugural Draft by the Vault 81 Dwellers, Streetwalker did not make it through his first season before being released, having never seen the field. He eventually landed with the Atom Cats organization where he spent two seasons with their BMU team, the Cabot House Rayguns. There he played in 71 total games with 37 starts. He had a .286 career average with 13 home runs and 53 RBI. He was released by the Cats in April and signed with the Nukalurks.
SP Lawry Pocket (7-4, 2.22)
Taken in the 4th round of the 2299 NWL Inaugural Draft, Pocket is the staff ace. He has a four-pitch repertoire to help him find more success against NWL batters. He needs to work more on not having "that" pitch that runs straight down the middle of the plate. If he ever hopes to improve his prospects, he needs to learn the art of painting the corners.
