A good performance from first baseman Bryan Assman helped the Goodneighbor Hancocks defeat the Diamond City Swatters, 6-3. Assman went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Hancocks. Bus Paula earned the save for Goodneighbor, his 16th. Goodneighbor now has a 5-game win streak.

"I still think this team can play even better," Assman told the Goodneighbor Bulletin.
John Rose of the Goodneighbor Hancocks and Kyle Grogg of the Diamond City Swatters will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 2 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the game.
Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Rose and Grogg will begin serving them soon.
This year Rose is batting .338 with 76 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 42 times and has batted in 43 runs.

It could have been a different outcome for Lexington, had it not been for Mike Pigeonfoot, the 20-year old center fielder . Pigeonfoot contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Lexington up, 3-0.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Pigeonfoot.
