OOTP Developments Forums - View Single Post - Trying to load game from OOTP16 to OOTP21

Just got a new PC and am trying to switch over my saved games from OOTP16 on my laptop. I did a search before hand and it didn't say there were any problems opening up on newer versions so I copied all of the saved games files over but get an error when trying to load:

"OOTP cannot load this database because it has been created with an earlier version of OOTP. Please use the button Import OOPT20"

So then I do that and it says "OOTP can only import saved games with version 20"

Please tell me there's a way around this? I'd hate to lose the saved game I've had on the go for 5 years now.
