26 June 2299 - Fort Hagen's Dungan Receives Name Petition Approval
His teammates already call him by the name, and now the CBO will, too. Fort Hagen Silver Shroud SS Seth Dungan received approval from the league to change his name midseason, and now he is Well Done Dungan.
Dungan has been a steady leadoff hitter in all four seasons with the Shroud since being drafted in the 8th round, #191 overall, in the 2296 Inaugural Draft.
This season he is batting .335 with 16 doubles, 8 triples (leads the NCA), 47 runs, and 27 RBI. He has stolen 14 of 27 attempts, fifth in steals in the NCA.
For his career, he is a .335 hitter with 77 doubles, 41 triples, including leading the CBO in triples in 2296 and 2298, 8 home runs, 239 runs, 136 RBI, and 54 of 95 stolen bases. He has a 9.4 career WAR.
26 June 2299 - CBO-NWL Trade: Bobb for Two Players
In a hastily called press conference, Sunshine Tidings announced today a trade with Wild that will send 30-year-old 3B Ryan Bobb to the Gatorclaws in exchange for 20-year-old SS Andy Craven and 21-year-old RHP Jake Lynnwoods. All players are expected to be in their respective new cities in time for today's games.
Bobb currently has a .278 batting average with 64 hits, 2 homers, 30 RBIs, 21 runs scored and a .313 OBP.
There is no word how this trade went through with a CBO starter getting sent to the NWL. Insiders believe that the Chemists are attempting to "tank" to increase their chances of getting one of the better prospects in the 2299 draft class. The 2299 class is expected to be a strong group. Sunshine Tidings recently traded their staff ace, Tony Bertha, to the Egret Ninjas.
