Analysis

Sixty games in and we can see that the haves and have nots have started to truly distinguish themselves. Today we will feature the least competitive league, the Railroad, but first, let us take a look at the Power Rankings.

The Top 5 is still the same, with a slight shift of Diamond City jumping up one spot to take #2 from Nordhagen Beach, which drops to #3. The Swatters had a 4-1 week, as did the Party Boys. Diamond City dropped their game at home to league-mate Vault 81 (#10). The Boys dropped one game at Institute League leader Fort Hagen (#4). In the opinion of Publick Occurrences, Nordhagen Beach had the better week of the two, but they drop regardless. I guess the same order of the Top 5 was too boring to BNN.

The bottom two of the Power Rankings has an interesting twist, as Warwick drops two spots to #24, while Atom moves up to #22. Easy Town stayed at #23, meaning the bottom two teams were 2298 playoff teams, with the Assaultrons making it to the Sole Survivor Series in 2298. Now, both teams can consider themselves sellers to try to build their team to get back in the future.

Choo Choo: Breaking Down the Railroad League

We are calling the Railroad League. With just 55.6% of the season completed, we do not see a scenario where the top two in the league will change. It will be Diamond City and Oberland as the playoff teams, just as they were in 2998, except the Swatters (#2) are the league leaders where the T-51s won the league the first three seasons.

While Vault 81, Egret, FHE, and Roxbury seem to be decent teams, none are able to find wins consistently against the Swatters or T-51s. Diamond City is a combined 17-10 against those four, while the T-51s are also 17-10. That means both teams win the series, primarily, against the lower teams. Oberland's 3-3 season series versus the Knuckle Punchers is the worst record either of the top two has against the bottom four.
