1 July 2299 - Monthly Awards Feature to Be on Monday

Because of a flurry of activity over the BMU All-Star Weekend, we are going to showcase the players of the month on Monday in both the CBO and BMU. There are plenty other stories today, including a feature on the BMU All-Star Game.

1 July 2299 - Warwick Mirelurks Ship Lambda to Goodneighbor

You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you find a deal anyway. The Baseball News Network is reporting that Warwick and Goodneighbor have made a swap with 33-year-old RHP Matt Lambda being shipped to the Hancocks and in return the Mirelurks would get 23-year-old minor league 1B Greg Phillips and 21-year-old minor league LF Lips Lightfoot.

Warwick general manager Jason Liberti said the two sides were close to a blockbuster trade before agreeing upon a smaller scale transaction.

"This is just a bit of housekeeping compared to what we wanted to do," he said. "I won't name names, but the potential deal we were close to making would have certainly grabbed some headlines."

A source inside the Warwick organization said the two sides might not be done dealing, and another transaction could be in the works.

Lambda has taken the mound for 13 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-1 record with a 2.45 ERA. The reliever has limited opposing batters to a .222 batting average.

1 July 2299 - University Point-Easy Town Trade: Radwater for Brownell

The University Point Deathclaws and Easy Town Assaultrons have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. University Point will part with 31-year-old RHP William Radwater, while the Assaultrons have dealt 20-year-old minor league 1B Dusty Brownell and 21-year-old minor league SS Bones Roderick.

"This one took a while to figure out," said University Point general manager Nate Fumble. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs."

This season Radwater has a 7-6 record with a 3.09 ERA.

1 July 2299 - Trade 2: University Point Trades Overby for Easy Town's Quickfingers

You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you find a deal anyway. The Baseball News Network is reporting that University Point and Easy Town have made a swap with 31-year-old RHP Chree Overby being shipped to the Assaultrons and in return the Deathclaws would get 20-year-old minor league 2B Joe Chappell, 22-year-old minor league LF Kyle Quickfingers and 18-year-old minor league C Ted Shovels.

University Point general manager Nate Fumble said the two sides were close to a blockbuster trade before agreeing upon a smaller scale transaction, their second deal of the day.

"This is just a bit of housekeeping compared to what we wanted to do," he said. "I won't name names, but the potential deal we were close to making would have certainly grabbed some headlines."

A source inside the University Point organization said the two sides might not be done dealing, and another transaction could be in the works.
