Walkers news: August 4 -- Quad City 4, St. Louis 2

Record: 62-44, 2nd, 5.5 GB Des Moines
Quad City overcame an early 2-0 deficit, as the Thunder rallied to defeat St. Louis 4-2 to complete a three-game sweep at Fenway Park (1976).
A two-run homer from Alex Greene off QC starting pitcher Carlos Lomeli staked the River Walkers to that early lead.
Solo homers from Chase Davis and Myles Austin in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively, both off St. Louis starter Zach Hunsicker allowed the Thunder to even matters.
QC then took control in the bottom of the sixth.
Angel Solis led off with a single off Hunsicker and moved to second on a Davis ground out.
Hunsicker than issued consecutive walks to Nick Gonzalez and Gabriel Hagan to load the bases.
Ricky Cisneros replaced Hunsicker only to see his first pitch to Jacob Gonzalez be smacked down the first-base line to score the game's final two runs.
Lomeli pitched five innings, allowing the two runs on five hits.
After that, it was a scoreless inning each from Jake Woodford, Rick Sessions, Travis Krogman and Craig Fitzler.
Woodford (4-6) earned the win.
Fitzler notched his 18th save.
