3 July 2299 - Star of the Week Picked in NWL
Frank Hensley has been around Nuka World League long enough to know that you don't win Player of the Week awards by being lucky. The Quantum Nukalurks hurler used his well-honed skill to put up superlative numbers last week against Nuka World League hitters to take home the prize.
Hensley won 2 while striking out 18 in 15 innings. He also logged an ERA of 0.60 and held opposing hitters to a .130 average.
This year Hensley has fanned 81 in 84.2 innings and collected a 7-3 record with a 2.76 ERA.

3 July 2299 - Feature: NWL Newcomers
With a few players coming over from the Commonwealth Baseball Organization, let's take a quick look at some of those players and what they bring to the NWL.
3B Ryan Bobb, Wild - Acquired 26 June from Sunshine Tidings
A four-year started in for the Chemists, Bobb is expected to electrify the NWL with his hitting. Though not a power hitter, he can hit for average, posting a career high .352 in in 2297. He was also a two-time IL Robotics Defense Award winner, making him a star.
His CBO career numbers below:
RF David Lockpick, Orange - Acquired 27 June from Finch Farm
Originally the Four Leafs' 16th-round pick in the 2296 Inaugural Draft, Lockpick could never break into the starting nine. He is considered to have a great eye for drawing walks, but that has not been put on display much in the CBO or BMU. He could be a standout for getting on base in the NWL, though, where pitching is a little wilder at times.
SP David Tech, Dark - Acquired 1 July from Easy Town
Drafted in the 7th round of the 2296 CBO Inaugural Draft, Tech could never earn his star in the CBO. Though he was a four-year started with the Assaultrons, he was never quite good enough. In the NWL, though, he may not be the league's best pitcher with a four-pitch arsenal. He most certainly showed his ability in his first start in the NWL for the Bloodworms.
SP John Diner, Victory - Acquired 2 July from Warwick
A four-year starter for the Mirelurks, Diner is the biggest star to come here. Drafted in the 2nd round of the 2296 CBO Inaugural Draft, Diner has all the tools to be the best the NWL has. Diner has six pitches, though his stuff is average. He is also great at getting batters to ground into double plays, something that will mean he will pitch lots of low-scoring games.
He led the Minutemen League in strikeouts and WAR in 2296 and WHIP and WAR in 2297. Still, he has had a career ERA of over 4.00, which made him expendable for a struggling team.
