3 July 2299 - Red, White, and Blue Week Highlighted with CBO All-Stars
The 2299 CBO All-Star HR Derby and Game will be played today and tomorrow, respectively, during Red, White, and Blue Week, a celebration of the history of the Commonwealth.
Today's action will see eight of the top home run hitters in the CBO face off for a battle of who is the best. Current home run leader Paladin Danse of Egret will be the favored player this week at The Stone House in Quincy. Also joining are Cody Flatt of Jamaica Plain, Ginger Rogers of Oberland, Bryan Assman of Goodneighbor, Joe Mahaney of Finch Farm, Wayne Lacy of Diamond City, Chris Hirshfield of Roxbury, and Kory Richardson of University Point. Seven of the eight CBO home run leaders are in the South Charles Association, so it will be a home-field advantage to them.
Tomorrow, the best of the best face off in the All-Star Game. Reports are that the T-51s' Sheng Kawolski (9-4, 3.15) and Salem's Tony Bertha (8-2, 2.66) will get the nod on the mound. Bertha is on the team thanks to his time with Sunshine Tidings, before being dealt to Egret and then the Witch Hats.
