10 July 2299 - Diamond City Working Out Own Players at Catcher
Not happy with their production at catcher, the Diamond City Swatters are working out some of their own players to see if they can step up at catcher.
"We love our guys," Swatters manager Bucky Bachelor said, "but we're trying to win [a championship] here. We need some hits from that position, but we're just not getting them."
Because of offensive struggles at the position, Diamond City sent usual starter Jazz Stockton to Natick Banks and called up Nick Minnier because of his defensive abilities.
Among the players most considered to have a shot, Big Leaguers 1B Jason Watts if going to try to switch to catcher.
"Watts has a good bat," Bachelor said, "but his defense has not been CBO ready. He looked like he could block the ball well behind the plate, though, so Coach [Scott] Vetson is going to try him out there."
