Walkers news: Sept. 2 -- St. Louis 8, Ann Arbor 3

Tied 2-2, St. Louis scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning -- an outburst capped by a three-run homer from Jose Ramirez, the first of his two homers in the game -- and went on to defeat Ann Arbor 8-3 at Busch Stadium (1997).
Jared Thomas led off the bottom of the sixth with a walk from Wolfpack relief pitcher Jayden Prater.
Pinch-hitter Alex Greene and Nathaniel Dixon followed with singles to load the bases.
Daniel Becerra drove in the inning's first run with a fly ball.
Ramirez followed with his homer, a 3-1 pitch he powered 376 feet over the wall in right field.
Ann Arbor pulled to within 6-3 with a run in the top of the seventh -- Ramon Montes driving in Lee Cutshaw with a fly ball off Yeison Santos -- but the Walkers polished off the win when Ramirez hit his second homer of the game in the eighth.
It was a two-run shot off Ann Arbor reliever Chad Stephenson.
Walkers starting pitcher Zack Hunsicker went six innings, allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out four and walked four.
Andres Hernandez started the seventh, but failed to retire any of their three batters he faced.
Yeison Santos came on and retired two batters, one of them Mantos' sac fly.
Josh Grissom completed the seventh and worked a scoreless eighth.,
Ricky Cisneros closed it out with a perfect ninth.
