St. Louis starting pitcher Kaneo Kawamoto exited after an inning because of a injury, but the River Walkers' bullpen picked up the slack with eight shutout innings in a 6-0 win over Louisville at Dodger Stadium.

The River Walkers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on rookie Nick Shaw's 17th homer of the season, a two-out shot off Sluggers starting pitcher Andres Garcia.
Kawamoto retired Louisville in over in the bottom of the first.
After that, however, he was done leaving with a cramp in his forearm. He is expected to be out for only a day or two, so should be available to make his next start.
The Walkers went up 3-0 in the second inning, Thairo Estrada with a two-run homer off Garcia.
Jovan Gill handled the rest of the scoring with another homer, a three-run shot off Garcia in the sixth.
Josh Forgy was the first of four relievers to take the mound after Kawamoto stepped aside.
He (6-4) pitched three shutout innings, and earned the win.
Andres Hernandez worked a scoreless fifth inning.
Ricky Cisneros handled the sixth, and got the first out of the seventh.
Rookie Kevin Baker turned in his best outing of the season, with 2.2 scoreless inning to close out the game.
