20 July 2299 - Roxbury Cleaning House
The last-place Roxbury Knuckle Punchers made some moves today, probably hoping to shake up the team to be more competitive heading into the last month of the season. Only Atom has a worse record in the South Charles Association.
The Knuckle Punchers fired pitching coach Jimmy Straw, hitting coach Toby Slocumsjoe, and scouting director Frank Hillier. All three had been with the team since it hired a full staff in 2297.
Replacements are PC Elvis Gearhead, HC O.B. Wand, and Scout Suncap Knapp.
All three come from the recently concluded Boston Youth Development League. Gearhead was the coach of the Beerthirty Sippers, Wand was the coach of the Jamaica-U Point Death Rockets, and Knapp was the associate talent scout for the BYDL.
