22 July 2299 - Warwick Mirelurks Ship Williams to Easy Town

The Mirelurks and Assaultrons pulled the trigger on a deal that will see 32-year-old RHP Sheffield Williams head to Easy Town in exchange for 20-year-old minor league RHP Nick Potter, 21-year-old minor league RHP Bryan Arsonist and 22-year-old minor league RHP John Wildt. A source close to Warwick officials said "The teams spent long hours coming to the agreement and in the end, both agreed the deal should help both clubs."

To date this season Williams has 19 saves with a 1-2 mark and 2.45 ERA.

22 July 2299 - Inman Excels, But Ninjas Win

Despite a great performance by Roxbury third baseman Grognak Inman, the Egret Ninjas defeated the Knuckle Punchers by the score of 9-8 at Atomatoys Stadium at Roxbury. Inman went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Andy Helium converted his 20th save in 25 tries. Egret now has a 3-game win streak.

The Ninjas got an important contribution from shortstop Currfel Tick, who in the top of the ninth knocked a 1-2 curveball into left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 26th double of the season and put the Ninjas ahead, 9-8. Tick finished 2 for 5 with a double, a run, and two RBI.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Tick.

Crops Gerndeheimer (13) and Paladin Danse (27) both homered for Egret. Danse leads the CBO in homers. Matt Ratican (13) also homered for the Punchers.

Kareem Caravan impressed in the 12-7 Quincy win over Atom. Caravan went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for Quincy.

Unsurprisingly, the biggest moment for the Gunners came from one of their biggest talents. In the top of the seventh, Ben Pettinato, the 5th overall pick in the 2296 CBO Inaugural Draft, hit a 2-run double to put the Gunners up, 9-7. For the game, the third baseman was 3 for 6 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs.

"I felt good up there," said Pettinato. "I saw the ball well."

22 July 2299 - Slingshot goes 3-for-4, Leads T-51s to Win

The 12-4 Oberland win over Diamond City was due largely to Curtis Slingshot. The T-51s first baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The win gives Oberland a season record of 41-36.

Prof Castillo broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the third with a run-scoring ground out. It put the T-51s in front, 4-3. For the game, Castillo was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Castillo told the Oberland Daily News.

The T-51s also scored seven runs in the 9th off Diamond City relievers Mike Pond and Raul Esparza. Lennie Landslide (4-6) picked up the win for Oberland.

Late in the game, shortstop Chris Wickliffe had a big at-bat for Sunshine Tidings. In the top of the eighth, he hit a run-scoring single off Radscorpion Johnson. The play gave the Chemists a 6-5 lead.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Horse, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."

Well Done Dungan was 4 for 5 with a run and an RBI. All 12 of Fort Hagen's hits were singles. Matt Hope (11-4) dropped the game for the Shroud.

Frank Corsica went 1-for-4 in the 6-5 victory today. Corsica declined to speak to reporters following the game. He extended his hitting streak to 30 games.

Corsica flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and walked in the 9th. Corsica is currently batting .375 with 5 home runs and 39 RBIs.

After the game Mutfruit spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak."
