The 2031 World Series, Part One

October 30, Game 1:

Not sure why we keep getting the wrong win probability charts in these games, so ignore 'em.

Game 1 of the 2031 World Series was a matchup of former Vanderbilt teammates Kumar Rocker and Jack Leiter, but it turned out not to be a great day for either one of them. Less so for Rocker, who although he had to leave in the first inning, suffered only a mild abdominal strain and will make his next start, and of course his team won. Leiter pitched well but his offense and bullpen didn't help out as Detroit continues its magical run through the playoffs with a Game 1 win.

October 31, Game 2:

We know now we're going at least 5 games as the Reds rallied in the 7th for 5 runs to take a 6-3 win. Andy Ferber's bases-clearing double was the big hit of the game for Cincinnati.

November 2, Game 3:

The Tigers overcame a great performance from rookie sensation Chris Martin to come back from 4 runs down in the 7th against the Cincinnati bullpen and then won it in the 10th on a Mike Harper (who killed the Rays in the ALDS) 2-run homer off Frandy Cuevas in the 10th inning to give Detroit a thrilling a 7-5 win and a 2-1 series lead.
