- Takayasu goes down in a spectacular bout to fall all the way back to the pack
- Asanoyamma falls off the pace but Terunofuji explodes for a win to stay even in the Yusho race.
- Two days left, Terunofuji and Takayasu lead with 3 losses and four followers with four each.
- Tochinoshin has fought hard and surprisingly can still make kachikoshi but he has to get through 9-4 Hidenoumi tomorrow.
