Under "Game Settings" in OOTP 22, "League Settings", "Functions" lists "Popular Functions" including "Update player ratings using live stats", which is described as "Updates all current player[s] ratings using up-to-date MLB stats from the 2021 Season". Sure sounds to me like that would update the player performance during the season by revising the ratings according to the season stats. Now, possibly this option can only be used before the OOTP season starts, thus making it like "Live Start", as you mention. I'm in preseason mode right now, so it may gray out once I start my season?
