1 August 2299 - NWL's Best Batter Selected
Ham Porter may be much younger than other hitters in the Nuka World League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in July to win the Batter of the Month award.
The 21-year-old Grape first baseman hit .316 with 5 home runs, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
So far this season Porter has hit .283 with 15 home runs, 29 RBIs and scored 41 times.
1 August 2299 - Hodges Premier Pitcher in July
Justin Hodges took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the Nuka World League Pitcher of the Month award for July.
The 24-year-old Ghoulrillas starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 4-2 won-lost record in 6 starts. This month he fanned 49 batters in 49 innings and compiled a 1.47 ERA.
So far in 23 appearances this season, Hodges has recorded 13 wins and sustained 5 losses. He has pitched 172.1 innings, yielded 81 hits, fanned 182 and has a 1.57 ERA.
1 August 2299 - Rookie Wiz Gets July Award in NWL
24-year-old Justin Hodges is deceptively poised for such a young man. In 6 starts he bagged 4 wins in July and took home the Nuka World League Rookie of the Month Award.
The Cherry hurler logged a 4-2 record, 49 strikeouts in 49 innings, held opponents to a .156 average and compiled an ERA of 1.47.
This season Hodges has gone 13-5 with an ERA of 1.57, posting 182 strikeouts in 172.1 innings.
