4 August 2299 - NWL News: The Offseason Begins
With the Nuka World League playoffs settled and a champion crowned, it might appear as though baseball is ready to slink into hibernation until next year. Instead, the offseason begins today, bringing a different flurry of activity. Trades and roster moves will continue over the next several months as teams look for that magic combination that will find them playing for next year's championship.
In baseball, nothing stands still and general managers can't afford to take this time off, lest they find themselves sitting in the unemployment line next year at this time. So while players are finally resting away some of their aches and pains, General Managers had better be ready to act!
4 August 2299 - End of Season BNN Top Prospect List Published
Now that the season has finished, it's time to look forward to the future, and what better way than to look at the brightest future stars of the league, courtesy of BNN. This year 19-year-old LF Dwight Workman of the Grape Painted Ghouls is the #1 prospect overall.

4 August 2299 - GM Wright Ousted in Orange
Baseball News Network has reported that Mark Wright has been fired as the general manager of the Orange Tourists.
A front office source familiar with the situation has been reported as saying there have been "growing tensions" between ownership and Wright and that he "wasn't surprised" by the move.
There's been no word yet about who will take over as the team's new general manager.
4 August 2299 - Egret-Quartz Trade: O'Luck for Trashcan
Done deal! The Egret Ninjas have agreed to send 26-year-old minor league 1B Frankie O'Luck to the Quartz Star Force for 23-year-old 1B Jake Trashcan and a case of Gwinnett Stout. The trade, rumored for days, was completed in the wee hours this morning.
