You can leave them in your Reserve Roster however, it is safer to deactivate your all of your Live cards,.
If you do not do this, make sure you go into your Perfect Team Settings and make sure that you have things setup so that you, not the AI, control the Roster Moves and also control Reserve Roster Management, for your team.
Otherwise the AI will more than likely use them, when you don't want them to be used.
