Abernathy reliever Kyle Hooch picked up the win, raising his record to 3-1. Matt Demented was tagged with the loss. T-Bone Heagy recorded the save, making him 21 for 25.

With two out in the top of the second, Tyler Spronk barreled up a changeup from Tommy Beach. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Witch Hats in front, 5-0.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Gonzales told the Salem Daily. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."

Gunners Take Down Deathclaws, 2-1
The Quincy Gunners went home winners at The Stone House, thanks in large part to starter Colt Finley. Finley stifled the University Point Deathclaws, enabling Quincy to grab the 2-1 win. Quincy raised its record to 60-37 with the win.
In the bottom of the tenth, Josh Radcake knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring double off University Point pitcher Marc Pondsip.
"Exciting game to play in," said Finley. "Getting the win makes it even better."
The math is in the favor of the Quincy Gunners. The club can no longer be ousted from a playoff position, with a berth in the postseason now a guarantee.
Quincy boasts a 60-37 record and will be looking for the 1st Sole Survivor Series in team history.
