I have said this before but I spend more money on going out to the movies for a family of four to hopefully get 2 hours worth of enjoyment than I do buying the once a year purchase of OOTP that is guaranteed to give me hundreds of hours of enjoyment.
I just don't see why you wouldn't spend that money once a year to get the improvements the game gives you. Sure it's not perfect but how some people hem and haw over $40 makes no sense to me considering the cost of living nowadays.
