Yes, I've built views too that encompass stats, professional time, etc. Then use the method I suggested above, make a note on borderline players on paper, go to each minor league club and see how they look in this view. Keep in mind this will show his current stats at that level but then you can also switch to career to see his total stats at that level. You're pretty much limited only by what you can think of
Sometimes on the obvious ones its good enough to check the ratings on the minor league screen along with the popup box for a quick stat check. Other times I bring up the player page to see his stat history, work ethic, intelligence, and anything else I've included in my view to make a decision.
You don't have to make it overly complex but you can make it about as detailed as you'd like.
