Wherefore art thou, Luciean Clinton?
I suppose there are other 60s-era players who stayed one step ahead of the cameraman, but Lu/Lou Clinton has been singularly frustrating to myself and other team set builders due to his travels in 1965.
There are plenty of usable shots of Clinton at his other MLB stops -- Boston (1960-early 64), Los Angeles/California (latter half of '64-early '65) and the Yankees (66-67). But there are folks like me who are stymied by his one-day stay in Kansas City (September 8th, 0-1) and Cleveland (.176 in 12 games beginning on September 9th). The detail of the arcane move that ended his A's days is termed a "voided waiver claim" by Kansas City and an allowed waiver claim for Cleveland the same day. He'd be traded to the Yankees that December.
Anyone seeing anything from a newspaper clipping on up, black or white or color, would be appreciated.
