Trailing 1-0, Des Moines scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning and it remained that way the rest of the way as the Harvesters downed St. Louis 3-1 at Green Canyon Park.
Des Moines benefited from three walks -- one intentional -- from River Walkers starting pitcher Jesse McNaboe in its big inning.
Kellum Clark drew a free pass to lead off the inning.
A one-out infield single from Steve Carroll moved him to second.
Orlando Torres tied it with a double, scoring Clark.
Hector Alvarado was issued an intentional pass to load the bases, with pitcher Marshall Larcombe up next.
Larcombe made St. Louis pay with an RBI single.
Jackson Miller drove in the inning's third run when he drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs.
Larcombe turned in an extended outing on the mound, throwing 121 pitches over 7.1 innings.
He allowed just the first inning run and three hits. He struck out eight and walked five.
Eric LaFollette finished off the eighth for the Harvesters.
Former Walker reliever Travis Krogman allowed St. Louis to load the bases in the ninth, but ended the game with a strike out of Alex Greene for his first save.
