After going 2-3 on their season-opening road trip, the Rangers begin a six-game home stand with a three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Today is the Rangers home opener for the 1994 season. The Brewers have lost three straight.

In the bottom of the sixth, Gonzalez cut into the deficit with a two-out run-scoring single. Palmer followed with a 377 foot two-run homer to make it a one-run game.

In the top of the seventh, Matt Whiteside took the mound for the Rangers. Jaha drove a solo home run 380 feet.
In the top of the eighth, with a runner on first and one out, Rick Honeycutt took the mound for the Rangers. The Brewers got a run on a Hamilton two-bagger. Jaha added a two-out two-run single.
In the bottom of the eighth, Clark scored from third when Gonzalez grounded to first.
In the bottom of the ninth, with runners at first and second and two out, Mike Fetters took the mound for the Brewers. Clark drew a full count walk to load the bases with two out. Canseco kept the Rangers alive with an RBI single. Gonzalez did as well to make it a two-run game. Palmer then delivered a two-run single to tie the game.

In the top of the tenth, Tom Henke took the mound for the Rangers.
In the bottom of the tenth, Jesse Orosco took the mound for the Brewers.
In the top of the twelfth, Cris Carpenter took the mound for the Rangers.
In the top of the thirteenth, Darren Oliver took the mound for the Rangers. Hamilton went deep for a 358 foot two-out solo home run.
In the bottom of the thirteenth, with the bases empty and one out, Mike Ignasiak took the mound for the Brewers. With runners at first and second and two out, Canseco grounded to third to end the game.
The two teams combined for 33 hits in the contest. Hamilton scored four runs for the Brewers.
