What Was I Thinking?

Had 117 packs to open this morning and thought it might be fun to keep track of what I pulled, just to see if my perception of how it went was close to reality. It wasn't much fun, just rather tedious. I felt as it was going that I was doing just okay, that is, average, and it turned out I was right. It seemed I was doing better than expected on bronze pulls and that turned out to be the case.

I did get a ton of doubles - 564 or 80.3%. I started the pack-a-pull-ooza with a total of 1075 cards, which I don't think is especially large at this time in the game, so I was kind of disappointed to get so many doubles.

Anyway, since I kept track, I might as well reveal the numbers, because it's not happening again. By the way, I divide my cards by OL usable and others.

Bronze - 65 OL, 9.3%; 157 others, 22.4%
Silver - 9 OL, 1.3%; 19 others, 2.7%
Gold - 5 OL, 0.71%; 6 others - 0.85%
Diamond - 2 OL, 0.28%; 3 others - 0.43%
Perfect - none

Actual vs. (Expected) pull rates

Bronze - 31.6% (20%)
Silver - 4% (5%)
Gold - 1.6% (2%)
Diamond - 0.71% (0.67%)

Unique pulls - that is, those that will sell at a premium.

1 build-a-legend - Ryne Sandberg
1 Negro Leaguer - John Beckwith
2 future legends - 94 Luis Gill and 77 Jeremy Pena

I am unlikely to sell the Beckwith or Sandberg. I'm pretty sure that quite a few of the OL bronze are doubles, a few of the silver, and at least one of the gold are as well.

Haven't looked at the OL cards to see who might break into the lineup yet. I'm guessing there will a press conference with Ulysses Fairsmith and/or Luke Gofannon if that occurs.

I'm glad I pulled some bronze OLs because I want to switch my tourney teams to all non-live and, in fact, did that with the bronze. However, I should have waited, as I hampered the team bit and the pack rewards were very much slower yesterday (I think only three).
