Arrow Taking a look at some of our prospects

Let's take a look at some of our top prospects and few we are keeping our eyes on going forward.

I already posted Kumar Rocker (MLB ranked #6) and Masyn Winn (currently our 45th best prospect which makes no sense).

Josh Jung is currently ranked the 40th best prospect in MLB. The former 8th overall pick (2019) split time last year between AA and AAA.
Although he does not need to be added to the 40 man for Rule 5 protection, he will be added and may even be our starting 3B at the start of 2022.

Hans Crouse is currently ranked the 55th best prospect in MLB. The former 2nd rounder (2017) underperformed in A+ last season. He has been promoted to AA however.
Since he does not need Rule 5 protection, we won't be adding him to our 40 man just yet.

Sam Huff is currently ranked the 80th best prospect in MLB. The former 7th rounder (2016) spent the entire year in AAA and is already on the 40 man roster.
He will be 24 next season and may very well be our backup catcher, but I am quite tempted to sell high on him because he may be destined for 1B duties anyways.

Cole Winn (no relation to Masyn Winn) is currently ranked the 99th best prospect in MLB. The former 1st rounder (2018) spent the entire year in A- and didn't quite "earn" a promotion to A+.
The (soon to be) 22 year old SP will begin 2022 in A+.

Maximo Acosta is one prospect in the lower minors we will be keeping an eye on. He was signed as an international amateur free agent in 2019 ($1.65m).
We will start training him at 2B next season (repeating in DSL) and 3B potentially the year afer (hopefully in A-).

Bayron Lora is another prospect in the lower minors to keep an eye on. He was also signed as an international amateur free agent in 2019 ($4.2m).
He was excellent with the bat in 2021, but I am leery of promoting him too quickly to A-. He split time defensively last year between LF & RF.

Justin Foscue was the 14th overall pick in 2020 and OOTP decided to start him at AA (IRL he is in A+ to start 2021). Rather than ruin his morale at the start of the season I just let him play in AA for the full season.
Rather than having him repeat AA, he has been promoted to AAA. Eventually, he might be one prospect I would be willing to move in a trade to help our MLB team (the bat is nice, but he basically position-less).

Mason Montgomery is one guy I wanted to show some love for. Any time you can find a late round gem, you want them to succeed.
I believe he may have been a "hitter" with pitching skills. He will start in A- but likely end the year in A+.
