Purple is the absolute worst color. It's just - NO. No, you're WRONG. Bah. There's many reasons not to like the Rockies, and the uniforms are #2 on the list (behind them playing halfway up the stratosphere, where baseball can not logically be played).
You should have seen the Germantown Sausage Vendors'* uniforms the Marlins wore when the Mets were down in the swamp recently. They're part of that utterly stupid promotion with Nike that will have the Red Sox play in yellow and such crap.
