Finch Farm Fires Minor League Manager
The Finch Farm Four Leafs have fired Galleria Robotics Experts manager Scrappy Barios after it has come to light that he condoned what is being dubbed as the Glowing Sea Disaster by the CBO.
Barios did not disclose to team owner Abraham Finch that he had known and approved the field trip by the team's BMU players following a rookie and minors camp.
Team hitting coach Larry "Lielow" O'Neill will take over as manager since it was deemed that he was not involved in the plan and had no knowledge of the situation. Pitching coach Sticks Vasquez will also remain with the club.
While O'Neill is not considered a great hitting coach, he was considered to be a manager-in-waiting. He had a controlling personality with the love to send runners moving in proper situations to maximize runs. He loves working with younger players, so a stint as the Galleria manager looks like it could be the perfect opportunity for him.
In three years as the Robotics Experts' manager, Barios compiled a 104-99 record, including winning the Dark Hollow Pond Series in 2297 and the Boston Minor Series in 2298, winning him Manager of the Year each time. Despite his success in the first two seasons, the Experts dropped to 5th place in 2299. He will be considered a desirable pickup for another team, though it is yet to be seen if he will get that opportunity in 2300.
Galleria is now seeking a hitting coach to replace O'Neill's spot.
