Update
I'm running tests on all the changes I'm making. I almost considered resetting the timeline based on all the parts that I should have thought about.
One of my biggest missions was to get the NWL to stats I am more satisfied with. I wished I had tested and retested that league over and over.
For testing, I can definitely see how random talent modifiers change from one save to another. There were a few players I tracked in tests who had HOF careers in one save and were nobodies in other saves. I am also liking that the league stars are staying young. There are a few outliers, but the youngsters keep pushing them out.
In the current save, as an example, almost all teams look different. The Party Boys, for instance, have four remaining players in 2310: Derek Gist, Jonathan Angelou, Dirty Dog Sapienza, and Pointie Shroud. Fort Hagen has six still around: Derek Green, Curtis Thriceshot, Well Done Dungan, Mark Miller, Ben Pawlak, and Jim Tiller. Diamond City has three: Allen Bishop, Wally Warwick, and Danny Suarez. Oren Gep is still good, but he has been traded away from DC in multiple saves. Lannie Tykeson has developed into a legendary two-way player in the last two saves. As predicted, a few of the 2299 draftees developed well. In the lastest save, SS Pipe Wallcrawler (#6 overall) is a beast in the CBO.
I have made a few notes and think I will go with what I have as settings and set up for the latest save. As of now, things are looking good, at least to my liking. I have now figured out that Auto Calc is necessary to apply the stats output I want, which is probably where I went wrong with the NWL in the first place. Other than that, feeder leagues look to be working as expected, so I will work more on uniforms for those teams. I have a few already but want more graphical output. I will continue to use the feeder leagues as nothing more than a backstory, but I may start to give more updates now that the Boston Youth Development League has officially joined the CBO umbrella.
