In the past, we have just removed the offending games from the schedule, not counting them at all. This would apply to the Patriots wins, since there is no wish to punish a team that has won a game.
There has never been any thought of forfeiture of wins, and the negative implications of some sort of "punishment." We are a friendly group, built on the honor system, and forgiving of misteaks.
In essence, the games the Patriots won with an ineligible player being used in the game would be removed from the records of each participating team. If the ineligible player was merely on the roster, and did not play, the game can stand. That it is why it would necessary for Magus, or someone, to go back and check the games the Patriots won.
Any flogging of Magus, whether or not self-inflicted, is a private matter.
