Walkers news: August 13 -- St. Louis 3, Louisville 1

Record: 47-67, 7th, 14.5 GB Springfield
Rookie Ronald Crossingham pitched into the ninth inning and St. Louis scored three runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed in a 3-0 win over Louisville at Dodger Stadium.
Crossingham (2-0) allowed just one run through the first eight innings -- a solo homer by Bobby Chapman in the bottom of the seventh innings -- before allowing a one-out walk to Hisanori Yasuda and hitting Seth Beer with a pitch in the ninth.
Kevin Baker got the call to take over.
He got Dan Boyle to fly out for the second out.
Chapman flew to center to end it.
For Baker, it was his first save.
Crossingham, in his 8.1 innings, allowed the one run on three hits.
He struck out two and walked one.
The River Walkers did all of their damage in the first inning against Sluggers' 14-game winner Jim Martin.
Dan Hillard doubled with one out, and scored when Jose Ramirez hit his 17th homer of the season.
St. Louis was not done.
Daniel Becerra singled off Martin with two outs.
Becerra stole second and scored on a Jovan Gill double.
