Thanks! I assume you saw this:
https://wbl.dmlco.com/wp/2020/06/19/seed-players/.
Parts of it will evolve, but the notion is that in the offseason, the rookie draft class is reviewed and franchise players are automatically moved to the "correct" franchise's AA team. Additionally, other seed players may be added after the rookie draft (probably a reverse order of finish/probability thing, so the worst team in the league has a, whatever, 80% chance of getting an additional top "rookie," and it decreases from there).
Those are just notions right now--it will evolve a bit. On the first of each game month, I'll make posts about the AAA and AA leagues, BUT there is an entire 3-tier independent league with promotion/demotion that I don't know what to do with yet (their season hasn't started, but the goal is to writeup an overview of them on the 17th of each game month, starting in May).
My perfect world would have the AI proposing trades between the independent league teams and the WBL teams. But I don't know that I can make that happen, so the independent leagues, for all their popcorn fun, may be disbanded at some point.
Overall, the goal is for the franchises to be "recognizable," that is, the New York Gothams should always have enough Giants players that someone says, "hey, that looks a bit like the Giants."
I'll post more thoughts about this as it becomes clearer, but I'm absolutely open to ideas!
My suspicion is this is a problem to be solved in early 2022, so ...
